Chris Wiedman тренира в Австралия

Бившият шампион в средна категория Chris Wiedman за последно победи миналата година Kevin Gastelum със събмишън.

Той е първият боец, който успя да победи Anderson Silva и да му отнеме титлата в UFC. Wiedman успя да задържи титлата 2 години и нямаше загуба в професионалната си кариера, но после претърпя 3 поредни загуби.

Всичко това е в миналото и той вече се готви за нова битка, като най-вероятно ще бъде срещу Jacare Souza. Wiedman в момента е в Австралия и тренира:

 

I’ve had my fair share of injuries throughout my life. The worse of all is when I started to experience cervical pain in my neck, in which I had to have a neck surgery to fix the problem. Having nerve pain causes serious depression and has the ability to demotivate you from really accomplishing much in life. Since then I’ve developed a real heart for anyone who has to live through this. @hansmolenkamp who I’m moving with is a lifetime martial artist and a black belt under the great @deanlisterbjj .. He also happens to be someone who experiences daily discomfort and has gone through multiple spinal fusions from the lower back all the way up through the neck. It is not easy to get up and go to the gym for most people even when you aren’t experiencing pain. To be able to move with him like this in both BJJ and kickboxing at a high level is really amazing. It’s so inspiring that he’s motivated and pushes though with no excuses on a daily basis. I was actually also very surprised on how strong and flexible he is actually is after all he has been through. If I didn’t know his story I wouldn’t even of known he has any of these restrictions.
